Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

Winning Weekend for Jackson Kneeshaw as Rockliffe Park Rocks

The beautiful Rockliffe Park Course tested the longest hitters with the Gold Cup. With 260 carries just to reach the fairway and 250 yard par 3’s the nearly 8,000 yards of luxury played tough in a strong easterly wind. The longest hole required three full blasts to reach the green, great golf, stunning setting and greens to envy, that’s Rockliffe Park. Two over after nine and I’m thinking this is in the bag. Two over did win the Gold Cup but sadly it was not me, I faded on the last three and probably the easiest holes to finish with a @x0$. Looking forward to Rockliffe hosting the Champion of Champions competition next Sunday sponsored by The Journal Newspaper. The strong field will be tough to beat but I am feeling like a champion and ready to post a low score.

Jackson Kneeshaw Golf Swing with Dennis Pugh

Hi, This is me showing off the latest swing. After my first year spent at ‘The Golf College’ with Dennis Pugh, I feel ready to see my scores fall. A First place at the Houghton-le-Spring Junior Open with a 71 followed by a First place best gross at the Brancpeth Junioe Open with a 68 and a win at Rockliffe Park at the weekend with a level par 72 show that the swing is starting to pay dividends.

P.S. if you are wondering who the guy in the Middlesbrough kit behind me is – that’s my younger brother Wilson who signed for the Boro at the start of this season. Good Luck to him.

North of England boys

On the Wednesday of last week I was fortunate enough to play in the North of England boys amateur championship at Brass Castle golf club, in middelsbrough. It was a really good event with lots of really good players. Even though i didnt make the cut, I enjoyed the event, it was the most organised event I have ever played in, we had spotters for wayward tee shots and pristine greens, with rapid pace. I would like to thank Ian Jackson, for gettinghe me into the event as the last reserve, and congratulations to the winner. See you next year!

Houghton le spring

Last week on tuesday I entered a u-18 open in Houghton le-spring. It was a lovely day, with some good players entering the competition. My tee off was 1 o clock in the afternoon, I hit my first tee shot with my 5-wood straight down the middle setting me up for an easy par, a steady start. I was playing solid until i made my first double bogey, however bounced back straight with a birdie. I finished my round with a round of 73(+1) with 4 birdies 2 double bogeys and 1 bogey. I later found out that I won the event, winning a lyle and scott jacket, and a possible invitation to the junior golf championships in Abu Dhabi.
