As you may, or may not know i have recently been on a months trip over to the North of Spain, near Barcelona, I went to beat the bad weather in England and get out for a months golf with my college. I will be posting a diary very soon of the trips events and what happened everyday.
Today was a rather ordinary day with golf lessons in the morning and academics in the afternoon. Golf was promising with more swing thoughts and I was told that my swing is building up to be something really good. In the afternoon I went out to play golf because we had a free period, and i was spectating whilse Chris Olney and Jordan Holdway Battled it out over 9 holes, It was a good match with both golfers playing well however Chris Managed to pull through with a comfortable victory of 3 shots.
Today i played in an order of merit, Against Connor Brochurst. It was a good match in horendous conditions with thunder at one point!, however i pulled through for a 5 in 4 victory! after a steady par down 14. Yesterday I had a lesson with Dennis Pugh which was enlightening, with new swing keys to think about. Which helped me pull through todays round. All in all a good day. 🙂
TODAY: Today consisted of purely academics with a tough gym session for 1hr and a half after lunch. After more academics until the bus came to pick us up.
TOMORROW: We have a session with Pete Cohen, that should be interesting what he has to tell us, after our lecture we will get told to take what we have learned onto the golf course to aply the skills.
Tomorrow i will have my second lesson with the infamous Dennis Pugh. I wonder what swing changes i will have as of tomorrow??????
I personally think the golfing world should watch out ! I have grooved my swing for now and landing balls where and when I want! I hit 10 golf balls today with a 5- iron ALL SHOTS OVER 215 yards and all landing on a 2-pence piece YES IM THATT ACCURATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow will be our first proper academic day, with English for 1hr and a half and then will will be physically screened to receive our fitness handicaps.
Today I physically couldnt hit any more golf balls I was so tired. I probably hit over 1000 golf balls. Picture hitting balls from 9:30 untill 12:00 and then getting 10 mins to sit down and have a packed lunch and then from 12.45 until 3:00 then playing 14 holes!!! what a day and thats virtually an average day in the last two weeks in my life.!
I am all set for tomorrows Order of Merit event, I have my new swing changes to work on but nothing to drastic. I feel confident with how things will turn out tomorrow my target is a 70, +2.
First up tomorrow in the moring is a nice 18 holes with the pro. Then have a good harty lunch, then for the highlight a lesson with the golf night regular Dennis Pugh. Potientally tomorrow will be awsome:)
